This is a photograph of Fran’s feet that I made a wedding over the weekend. I thought it was an okay photograph and maybe i would throw it up on the blog while i am trying to organize election stuff…you know, posts about strazzante can only keep me going for so long.

Anyway, i was trying to find something to say about it since it does not say much on its own. So i googled “Red Toe Nails.” If I could avoid gross sites, i was thinking i might find some quirky fact about painting toenails on wikipedia or something.

Instead I found this. It is a community of people living with and fighting cancer. There is the amazing “warrior wall” of people whose fight has ended that brought me to tears early this morning. What is it about all the blogs there? they are so real, so unfiltered, unencumbered by efforts to write for publication and instead writing about reality. This site is so uplifting and gut wrenching at the same time.
