Oregon might matter

ok, as i crawl out from my organizational issues, i will try to post some recent work in no apparent order.

We here in the Oregon got a visit from Sen. Barack Obama about two weeks ago. Oregon has one of the last primaries in the nation and usually does not play much of a role. This year it might be different and the candidates are starting to take interest in our state. So, when Obama was here i got the opportunity to hop on the press bus travel from Portland to Salem, Corvallis, Eugene and Medford with him. Sen. Clinton is set to arrive this coming weekend.

Normally the zoo atmosphere of big events is not something i enjoy, but politics is different, i really love it. although, it’s hard for me to look back on the pictures - it seems like they’re all knockoffs of other, more talented, photographers. it’s impossible for me to shoot this stuff without Christopher Morris’s “My America” dancing through my head. If you haven’t seen this book, you should. it’s amazing.

But, for whatever it’s worth, these are my pictures of Sen. Obama’s visit.
