Sorry I have been gone so long. Life has been a bit crazy lately and I am trying to climb out.

About two weeks I did a quick story with Julie about a local storyteller in advance of an upcoming performance. Storyteller Alton Takiyama-Chung came into our studio and I made portraits of him while he told one of his stories, “Heroes.” I also shot a very brief video of his performance. It is important to see just how amazingly talented he is - and here is something that still photos could not do to the fullest. I think the video accomplishes it - even though it desperately needs lights and a room with sound proofing. But, for the time, this is what we have to work with. I know it seems like a copy of On Being. Maybe it is - but not done nearly as well as they do - but I believe his talent and his story come across - which is the most important thing.
