Sorry for the lack of writing. It has been a bit hectic around here over the last week or so. I left Saturday morning for a trip that would have me cover a football game, do a feature story on the coast and cover some bad weather out there. The football game went fine but the feature did not happen because the weather story took over. For much of my trip I had no internet access and when I did it was so flippin’ slow I was about to explode. My coworker did a really interesting map of the storm and another made a really compelling set of photographs of the flooding from a helicopter. It has been quite an exhausting week over in the Pacific Northwest. I think the only way to catch up is to slog through it chronologically. Sorry. This might lack on the interesting factor, but it adhering to my mission, it is what was in front of me.
well, i for one enjoyed your storm coverage. you were in the middle of it from before it was there. bummer on the internet conncetions, though, i had hoped you had some other magic (sat phone) to transmit with. i really appreciate the video now. wish the guys jumping into the wind and flying backward was a still option … made for great video none-the-less. i loved how you focused to the people suffering the losses. wierd to see tillamook that way, huh? i guess our beach neighborhood had nearly all of the trees flattened (pics of tim on bike years ago with good tree background)
