two ends of the spectrum
I woke up this morning thinking about this blog. You might say it sounds like I have a problem. But, I don’t see it that way. I see this as an exercise in my brain and in photography. If I feel like I have an outlet for pictures, then at least I will keep making them. They might not be good photographs, they might even be bad. But, at least it keeps me engaging the world.
So, anyway, I woke up thinking that I had not really made any pictures over the weekend and I had nothing of value to post. In my inbox was an email from an old acquaintance of mine, Yannis Kontos. It was a group email telling folks that he has a new website. I took a look. It’s very nice.
It made me think about the vast differences in how we use photography. There is work like that of Yannis and there is the one photo I made over the weekend – a picture of my dinner last night. Literally and figuratively, right now we are worlds apart.

you made this instead of going bowling?!
