LA Times - MediaStorm project

without comments

“LA Times photographer Luis Sinco made James Blake Miller an emblem of the war. The image would change both of their lives and connect them in ways neither imagined.” – LA TIMES

Many of you will have already seen this on the Times website or Mediastorm, but I thought it was so good that I wanted to pass it along here as well. Not only is it a wonderful piece of multimedia journalism, but it also explores the often complicated relationship of a photojournalist and subject. It will no doubt be the impetus for much debate, as everyone brings their own beliefs to the table when talking about the war. But, if it keeps people talking – that is a victory – and in my opinion one of the great roles of journalism.
