pictures.

As i may have gently alluded to in my recent post, i feel somewhat trapped in my job. Most of my day is spent sitting in front of a computer or going to meetings. Very rarely do i get to make pictures. So, in my effort to rediscover something of a former self, i gave myself an assignment the other day - photograph red. I was motivated after seeing Antonin Kratochvil’s presentation at the VII seminar and hearing about his work with the red campaign and the story “The Lazarus Effect” for Vanity Fair. I realize this is an intellectually dull connection, red = red, duh. But whatever, I made it. I realize this is not a new idea, or frankly a very inspired one. But, it helped me make pictures - and for my soul, that is good.
