One of my favorite people and picture editors, Mike Davis, and I were having lunch the other day. We talked about how I could start making pictures again. What with all the multimedia, It has been over a year since I really picked up my camera and tried to do anything meaningful with it. He said something like, “the most important pictures you make are the ones right in front of you.”

We have no kids. We work all the time. What’s in front of me? My dogs on our daily morning walk.
